This is unfucking believable brothers and sisters. I think this is a piece which should be posted on Tear it Down… but I’m just too fucking enraged, and too damn newly fangled to post there today.
I just recieved the following email at university:
“Evangelist John Das comes to us from Washington DC. He is part of a large organisation which works primarily with college campus’s and student bodies across America. He is often to be seen in large stadium events with Ron Luce and other top speakers on Christian TV. John has consistently over twenty years or so led thousands of young people to Jesus. He is known right across the African Continent for large crusade events. But John is best known for his youth work establishing a number of youth ministries including the two thousand strong youth choir in Nairobi, Kenya.”
Now I am currently reading American Facists by Chris Hedges (buy your copy today its rad!) and this Ron Luce guy is a total fucking asshole.
Some have criticized his organization, citing frequent militant statements by him such as: “This is war. And Jesus invites us to get into the action, telling us that the violent—the ‘forceful’ ones—will lay hold of the kingdom,” and exhorting his young followers to proclaim in unison: “I will keep my eyes on the battle, submitting to Your code even when I don’t understand.”
Luce has also publicly condemned “purveyors of popular culture” as “the enemy,” who according to Luce are “terrorists, virtue terrorists, that are destroying our kids… they’re raping virgin teenage America on the sidewalk, and everybody’s walking by and acting like everything’s OK. And it’s just not OK.” This type of imagery is said to be used under the context of a spiritual “battle” between good and evil.
I’m sure the type who associate with this movement of Evangelicals will be just as fucking retarded.

I’m using “really simple syndication” or “RSS” for short, in order to display my blog on my new webpage. This means you readers dont need to visit the blog unless you’re looking for video archives or past postings (since I only want the site to display one post at any time).
I like this. Like… a lot. Its like a quiet corner of the web all to myself. This is basically a test to see if it works. Fingers crossed *presses publish*
Rights it does work. May be a little slower on the uptake than the blog but its an easy way for me to submit text to a customised website without using dreamweaver. I am going to do some investigation into hosting which allows Mysql and which could be used in conjunction with a content manager. I think I need to buy a book on PHP too. Fucks sake. Building websites is really hard.
So yeah, expect more updates and less youtube videos in the future from earlythrasher.co.uk.

Hello everybody. Hanging out in Newcastle and having a great time…. thats what I would be typing if I wasn’t sitting in the University library, writing about the doctrine of Cy-Pres, and glancing out of the window to see unrelenting night, at 9:30 in the morning. Still. Having a positive day as you can tell.
Really in the mood for building a website. Might do something weird to this website. Don’t know what. I like blogging. Its just too hard to maintain a blog you built yourself. So time consuming. The Tear it Down blog takes so long to fucking post on. This one is really rapid fire. You type… press publish… then can relax.
Last week was a bit crazy. I was drunk a lot. That was fun. Had some fun nights out. Except for when Rich fell asleep in the glass spider and couldn’t function enough to walk home/open his apartment door. Haha. Crackers. Good times though.
Trying to catch up on all the work I missed over the last 2 drunken/ill weeks. Doing quite well at it thanks for asking. I just got served with a piece of coursework due in in 3 weeks. Should be fine, I’m on top of it. I’m off in 2 weeks which is fucking bliss. Off for a whole month. Back for 3 months. Off for 6 months… with the odd exam here and there in that period. Bliss. Uni is pretty good for time off like.
Fuck need to think about getting a work experiance placement next summer for a couple of weeks. That will be so fucking lame but its something I really need to do if I want a jobby. Fucking stupid corperate assholes. Its like the fucking apprentice on my course, I swear to god. Everyone is so fucking worried about their careers defending a large corperation. They are fucking morons. I see some idiot found this site on google by typing in “Northumbria University Hoodies”. Fucking stupid sack of shit wanker. What an asshole. GO SUCK ON MY FUCKING SHIT. ha.

Hey everyone. No parties last night. Which was a good thing to be honest. I’ve been hard at work all day trying to catch up with my uni course. Also been sorting things out with Tear it Down. Really want someone to help me out with that sort of stuff. If you’re interested in actually getting this thing going at full steam get in touch with me. Its something thats weird, interesting and that nobody is doing around here. A local collective of indivituals working towards creating a resource for positive change, having a great time, and possibly putting out a CD next year. C’mon. I’d be shitting my pants over that sort of thing. Sniff sniff. Oops.
Toilet humour aside (haha ass), I am fucking serious… and if no one wants to help me and I have to attend Glimpses of Autonomy alone… so be it. Fuck you. I will empower myself.

The new subhumans album is fantastic. And they are playing at trillians on the 11th decemeber. Awesome news. I love Subhumans. What a fucking great band, spot on politics and great music. Really an inspiration for us all. Their first full length in 20 years or so… and its fucking great. What with that Citizen Fish record this year, its amazing the amount of material this band can put out this far into their career. For that… we salute the subhumans. Buy Internal Riot today.
Dick Lucas, singer of Subhumans, has never had a job. An ethic which we all should live by. An ethic I find myself living by today. I’m not going to University. I need some time off. And if they can’t handle that, fuck them. Rebelious ways.

Spent most of the day editing instead of doing work. Today I’ve been on Adobe After Effects doing all of the muzzleflashes for the opening scene. Looks hella pwnage now. Erm. Yeah. So a little more tightening up to do, maybe a dub or 2 if we have time, and that opening scene will be pretty much done. Shame I still have the rest of the movie to do. I’ve got quite a bit done but it is long and laborious work. Tiring. You need the patience of a saint. I just realised I should type the word muzzleflash a few more times. Gets us more clicks from google. Especially if I type “free muzzleflash stock footage.” Yeah, lets piss off those search engine film makers!
Anyhoo. I’m expecting a new book from G7 but it hasnt arrived yet. American Facists by Chris Hedges. His last book was rad (if not a little over the top in referencing shakespear) and I hear his new book is awesome too. I ordered it about 3 weeks ago. Gonna have to send and angry email their way soon I think. Must finish fucking Failed States by Noam Chomsky. AGHHHHH. Must finish that book. I’ll read some tomorrow. I promise myself.
Lots of work to do. Still haven’t caught up on any work from my week off sick. But I’m sure I’ll get there eventually. Looking forward to partying on Tuesday. Looking forward to posting some video for you guys. Like… loads! I really can’t wait. I should get some shots around Newcastle for the Tear it Down documentary tomorrow actually. Yeah, maybe I’ll charge up the camera and pop into the Star and Shadow. Need to do a podcast too. Don’t know whethere to release both the podcast and the video on the 28th (the actual anniversary).
